Thanksgiving in Chicago
Going to Chicago for Thanksgiving was a wonderful idea and the start of a new tradition for our family. We were pampered at our hotel, went out to some of our favorite restaurants in Chicago, had a wonderful Thanksgiving feast, explored Shedd Aquarium and of went out for Black Friday on Michigan Ave.
We spent the Thanksgiving holiday at the Trump Internation Hotel and Tower Chicago. If you haven’t stayed at this 5-Star facility, I highly recommend doing so. The hotel went above and beyond in making our family feel welcome and at home during the holiday weekend. They gave D3 stuffed animals, kid-sized robe, bath toys and kid approved treats. Pepper also was pampered. Pepper recieved his own bed, treats, toy and a special dish for his food and water.
Eats and Drinks
On the first night, we as a family went to the bar/lounge in the hotel. They were all very warm and welcoming and even had kid-friendly ‘mocktails’ for Aunt Cee. She was over the moon to have a fancy drink like everyone else.
Duck Duck Goat
If you are looking for the best Chinese food in Chicago, look no more. Make sure you have a reservation because this place is always SUPER busy and after eating there I totally understand why. My recommendation would be to try the Peking Duck and the Ham Sui Goat, so so good.
This is an absolute must when we are in Chicago. I have mentioned Sunda in my blog before and I forever will. The Peared Sake is hands down the BEST COCKTAIL I have ever had. Their sushi rolls are fantasic too!
Did you know that Shedd Aquarium is open on Thanksgiving Day until 3 pm? Well, we didn’t either and it was a pleasant surprise. So before we went to our Thanksgiving Day feast we explored the aquarium.
