Happy Mother’s Day, everyone!! Today I thought I’d share a round-up of our latest adventures and just what we have been up to. My last post was in March and I feel like life has been non- stop since then. I have been in a social media funk, you know where you just need to take some time off and focus on what is important. We also had a very unexpected death in my family and that has rocked us to the core.
After this month or so off, I realized that making memories with your loved ones is one of the most important things we can do. So I am trying to be more present and available for friends and family. I also took a HUGE step personally and started taking classes at a prestigious NY school for interior design. Fashion and design have always been a passion of mine and I’m so excited to take this step in life and really go after something I am passionate about. And then D3 turned 2 1/2 this month!!!! Time needs to slow down!
As you can see we have gone on so many fun adventures lately. I’ll start at the top and work my way down. We love the 100 Acres at Newfields. Walking on the Funky Bones is one of D3’s favorite things. Conner Prairie is quickly becoming a weekly must. It is a drive from downtown but still do-able. D3 LOVES the Animal Encounters, he calls it the farm, and we can’t leave CP without a visit to the Treetop Outpost. We celebrated Easter this year over at D3’s Great Grandparents, made Easter cookies and had an Easter egg hunt in our condo and even on the Cultural Trail. Spring blooms at Newfields were also gorgeous this year. The Sports Legends Experience never disappoints, even though D3 doesn’t understand all the sports yet she sure loves making up his own versions of tennis, golf, and soccer. Last but certainly not least we visited our favorite second city, Chicago. Chicago in the spring is absolutely beautiful. Last week we also went to the Silly Safari program at our local library branch and as you all can imagine D3 loved it!
What fun plans do you have for the week?!
